Galmudug.com is a privately owned and independently operated website about the Galmudug region of central Somalia. It is not the official website of the Galmudug State government, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government institution in Somalia or elsewhere.

Why this site exists
Central Somalia is home to millions of people and a large worldwide diaspora, yet reliable, well-organised information about the region is scattered. This site collects two things in one place: carefully written background about Galmudug's geography, history, culture, and districts; and a continuously updated stream of news headlines about the region, drawn from established Somali news organisations, in both Somali and English.
How the news section works
The news pages are generated by an automated aggregator. On a schedule, it reads the public RSS feeds of Somali news organisations, filters stories that mention Galmudug and its towns, removes duplicates, and publishes headline, summary, source, and date.
We deliberately show only headlines and short summaries. Every story links to the original publisher, who owns the full article and all rights to it. If you are a publisher and would like your feed removed or corrected, contact us and we will act promptly.
